Cathy Pharoah recently participated in two sessions at the IoF convention in early July.

The first session titled, 'Trust and statutory fundraising in the current context - a brave new world?' focused on the rapidly changing environment for trust and statutory fundraising, and explored emerging challenges as well as opportunities. Kevin Curley C.B.E., former CEO of NAVCA, was a panel member and gave a paper. Read his paper (pdf)

The second panel session concentrated on the topical issue of data, ‘The great data debate - is giving going up?’ This looked at questions such as are the rich giving less or more? Are Scots more generous than the Welsh? Has the economic downturn encouraged people to open their wallets?
